Orderbook Depth

USD value of buy/sell orders within ±1% or ±2% of mid-price (liquidity)

Definition

Cumulative size of orderbook entries within a given % of the mid-price. Indicator of how much BTC can move at current price. Falling depth = thinner liquidity, larger price impact for the same size order. We snapshot Binance every minute.

Healthy: $50–100M ±1% depth; <$30M = thin; spikes >$200M signal liquidity event
