Stablecoin
A crypto pegged 1:1 to a fiat currency (mostly USD). Largest: USDT, USDC.
Definition
A cryptocurrency designed to hold a stable value (typically $1) by being backed by fiat reserves or by algorithmic mechanisms. Used as cash-equivalent on crypto venues. USDT (Tether) ~$130B and USDC (Circle) ~$60B dominate; smaller: DAI, FDUSD.
